(FYI-we are studying the letter Qq this week)
Boy: "Mom, why is there even the letter Q in the alphabet anyway?"
I give a puzzled look at him.
Boy: "I mean, you can put the c and w together to get the same sound as q. So, why the letter Q? And what about Z? For xylophone-the xy together make the z sound. Why is it, Mom?"
Oh, how I wish I had the answers!!!
